Candidate Statements
Clinton Damron, DO
Dr. Clinton Damron was raised in the rural Arizona town of Duncan. He spent his youth working on his family’s farm and raising animals. After high school graduation, he continued his education to earn a bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University and his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Midwestern University Glendale, graduating in 2003. He completed a Family Practice residency at Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2006. During residency he served as Vice-Chief and Chief Resident for the program.
After completing residency, Dr. Damron returned to his rural Arizona roots and joined Family Medical Center in Safford, Arizona. This opportunity gave him the prospect to practice traditional family medicine, honoring the traditions of the past while adapting to the challenges of the future.
Dr. Damron also fully participates as a member of Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center’s medical staff where he has served as Vice Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff, hospital board member, and Medical Executive Committee member. Currently he serves on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and the Peer Review Committee.
Recently, Dr. Damron and his partners have evolved the practice and taken the steps to become a certified Rural Health Clinic, where he works as the medical director. He looks forward to the opportunity of providing for the community’s’ medical needs while still forging life-long patient/doctor relationships.
Dr. Damron would consider it a great privilege to represent Family Medicine and rural healthcare on the AzACOFP Board of Directors.
Sean Reeder, DO
Growing up in Arizona and watching his father run his practice as an osteopathic primary care physician, he knew that he wanted to pursue the same path. He graduated from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City in 1998. After completing his traditional internship and a Family Medicine residency at Mesa General Hospital, he went into private practice as an ABOFP certified family physician with integrated OMM in north Phoenix. In 2013, he moved his practice to the Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic and served as it’s Medical Director 2015-2017 in addition to his continued practice. He has maintained membership in good standing with the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the Arizona of Osteopathic Medicine Association.
Having worked and taught with Midwestern University since his residency years, he has been involved with Osteopathic education for over 20 years. He was promoted in 2017 to his current role serving as the Associate Dean of Clinical Education with the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at the rank of Associate Clinical Professor.
His scholarly activity includes both clinical and pharmaceutical industry related research, leading to product development, a successful poster presentation sponsorship, and publication. He is actively engaged in faculty and physician development within his community and abroad and has participated with the Arizona Department of Health since 2018 to develop and incorporate a statewide opioid safe-prescribing curriculum for all health profession schools in Arizona.
While having been involved in his community through scouting, youth sports and his local church, he has desired to give back to the Osteopathic Medical Community that was instrumental in his own training to become a physician.
